The Grammy Award is considered one of the most important in the world of music. Ricky Cage said that his whole endeavor is to take Indian music to the world without borders. Also, he talked about his music career and his personal life’s greatest achievement.
Ricky Cage, who spoke at the event, described himself primarily as a musician and environmentalist. He spoke about his songs about animals, nature, love, travel and more.
Also, apart from classical music in India, he also talked about its art forms. Music composer Ricky Cage said he was working on Baul music in Bengal and it took him four years to complete the film he composed. He said the film is a depiction of the life of a Baul musician and guides the art of a 1,000-year-old tradition.
Talking about Indian music ragas, Ricky Cage mentioned that Indian classical music artists have been pioneers in spreading Indian culture and heritage globally. He said that traditional musicians have been breaking through all cultural barriers in every era.

Who is this Ricky Cage?
Bengaluru-based Ricky Cage won his second Grammy a few months ago for his album ‘Divine Tides’. For this album he collaborated with Stewart Copeland, founder and drummer of legendary rock band The Police. Ricky Cage’s Divine Tides won the Best New Age Album category at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
Ricky received his first Grammy Award in 2015 for Best New Age Album for his album “Winds of Samsara”.
With his second win, Ricky Cage has joined the exclusive club of Indian champions that includes Ravi Shankar, Zubin Mehta, Zakir Hussain, AR Rahman and others. A half-Punjabi, half-Marwadi teenager, Ricky KI was born in North Carolina in 1981. He has been living in Bangalore since he was 8 years old.
Ricky studied at Bishop Cotton School, Bengaluru and holds a dental degree from Oxford Dental College. Ricky Cage married his girlfriend Varsha in 2014.
