Pounjoor: Villagers have requested to repair and put into use the electric drinking water tank that is found without maintenance. Next to Poonjoor, in Pudupattu village of Nemantham Panchayat, in 2012, an electric drinking water tank was built by the road side by the Rural Development Department. In the last 17, the maintenance work was done at a cost of 10,000 rupees.
Due to non-maintenance for two years, the electric pump motor has broken down and the drinking water tank is just a showpiece. The people of the area are forced to travel long distances for drinking water. Therefore, the departmental authorities have requested the public to repair the wasted drinking water tank and bring it to use.
