Madrid: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has suggested that those coming to work in government/private offices should avoid wearing ties. Officials who are accustomed to wearing ties even in hot weather are surprised by the Prime Minister’s suggestion. “I’m not wearing a tie. Similarly, it is better not to wear a tie” – said Sanchez during the conference in Madrid.

The Prime Minister pointed out that it is more comfortable not to wear a tie and that offices need to use less air conditioners, thereby saving energy. In this way we can save a large amount of energy,” said the Prime Minister.

There is also a strict order for ministers and government officials to come to the office without wearing a tie. The Prime Minister also said that following the steps of other European countries, the government is starting energy conservation measures from Monday. As part of the use of renewable energy sources, efforts are being made to reduce air conditioning in offices in Spain. Likewise, the use of radiators will also be reduced during the cold season.

The European Commission has drawn up a €210 billion plan to increase the use of renewable energy to end dependence on Russian gas. The European Council also announced that between August 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023, all 27 European countries agreed to reduce gas consumption by 15 percent compared to the average consumption of the previous five years.
