“Let’s restore meaning to the health professions, let’s finally give attractiveness to the midwifery profession”

Isabelle Derrendinger, president of the National Council of the Order of Midwives, believes, in a forum in the “World”, that our perinatal system is out of breath. Some intend to resolve this crisis by imposing on midwifery students a twelve-month internship in a maternity hospital, a new example of the paternalism suffered by this profession.
