The number of visits to the Thuisarts.nl website has increased by 23% compared to the first half of 2021. This is apparent from an analysis by NIVEL. In the first half of 2022, the total number of times that Thuisarts.nl was consulted rose by 7.3 million to almost 40 million times. On average, the website was consulted 6.6 million times a month.
The survey also shows that visitors feel more helped by Thuisarts.nl than in the previous two years. They mainly searched for information about having corona and preventing infecting others. There was also a lot of search for information about stomach complaints, chickenpox, cystitis and sore throat.
Choice cards
New on Thuisarts.nl are choice cards to encourage joint decision-making. In the past, general practitioners worked with choice tables and medical specialists with consultation cards. In a joint project of NHG/Thuisarts.nl, the Federation of Medical Specialists and the Patient Federation of the Netherlands, the choice tables and consultation cards have been converted into choice cards and can all be found on Thuisarts.nl.
