Spider infestation
Corey Martin Allen hails from Draper, Utah, USA. The 26-year-old recently moved to the Springville area. Then he saw a spider and thought to kill it. Accordingly, he tries to set the spider on fire with a lighter. But, unfortunately, the fire has spread to nearby places. Alan did not take it seriously and left. But the fire he ignited has spread throughout the region.
As a result, around 60 acres of Springville’s hillsides have been engulfed in flames. In the meantime, the local authorities have been informed about this and the firemen who rushed to the spot are trying to control the fire through a helicopter.
Arrest
In the meantime, Alan has been done by the police. Speaking about this, Utah County Sheriff Sergeant Spencer Cannon said, “The fire was accidentally set by Cory Allen Martin of Draper, Utah. He said he tried to burn a spider with his lighter when he found it.”
Also, the sheriff has said that he has never faced such an incident. In this case, the police said that there were drugs in Allen’s bag. He has since been booked into the Utah County Jail. Meanwhile, authorities have reported that the fire in the Springville area has been brought under 90 percent control.
