Geffen first tried to call Ilana who put the phone on the microphone with which he appeared. When she didn’t answer him, Gefen said: “It’s always sad with her.” The singer really wasn’t going to give up and called Berkovich again, and this time she did answer him.

As you remember, the song “Ilana” was released in 1993. The song was written by Geffen inspired by the song “Ho Yoko” written by John Lennon for his partner Yoko Ono. In the years after his breakup with Berkovic, Geffen refused to perform the song in his concerts,[2] But in the second decade of the 21st century he returned to perform it, and so for example he sang it in a show to mark the twentieth anniversary of the release of the album “Now Cloudy”.
