Goren was interviewed today (Wednesday) by Mako and said that “If you start accepting me for TV shows in Israel and jobs in Israel, I won’t have to go abroad all the time. It comes from an inner strength of wanting to prove. Last year I was not accepted to three programs in Israel and it made me very angry and upset me, because apparently I am seen in Israel as a ‘reality refugee’ and not beyond. So I said, ‘No problem, you see me as a reality show refugee? I’ll get to you in a round.”

Goren continued and said: “I made strict screenings for the American ‘Ninja,’ and they were even happy that I came to them and insisted that it be written down that I am developing Tikva and that I will go up when I represent Israel with a shofar and a tallit. They didn’t try to say ‘Please, no, don’t This, they don’t like Israel’. They said, ‘Do it, represent, do whatever you want.'”

When asked about the image of the reality star attached to him, Goren clarified that “First of all, I’m a musician. I produce music, I sing, I play, that’s the main thing I do. Even here in the US. I do not act, I was not accepted as an actor, especially not in Israel, and this gave me a lot of strength to prove that I can succeed in my own way. I was accepted for reality shows, I like to win and I like to do sports.” On the question of whether he will return to compete again in Ninja Israel, he said: “What, I will do the season again?”, he asked Raskin, “I want to comment.”
