In the ongoing Commonwealth Games in London, India has bagged 5 medals in a single day yesterday, winning a total of 18 medals and taking the 7th position.

The Commonwealth Games are being held in London, the capital of England. India’s Dulika Mann won the silver medal in the women’s 78 kg category in the judo competition held yesterday. In the men’s weightlifting (109kg) final, India’s Lovepreet Singh won the bronze medal by finishing 3rd with a total lift of 355kg.

5 medals only yesterday

India’s Saurav Ghosal won the bronze medal in men’s singles squash event. India’s Gurdeep Singh participated in the men’s (109+ kg) weightlifting final. He lifted a weight of 390 kg and won the bronze medal in this competition.

In the men’s high jump final, India’s Tejaswin Shankar cleared 2.22 meters to clinch the bronze medal. Yesterday India won 1 silver and 4 bronze. India is 7th in the Commonwealth Games medal tally with 18 medals.
