The work of Indian 2 has resumed. The film, which was made on a grand scale by Lyca Productions, came to a halt due to a sudden accident. 2 years ago, 3 technicians working at the shooting spot were killed in the accident where the giant crane tipped over. This issue created resentment between director Shankar, Kamal Haasan and Lyca. Due to this, further shootings were not started. Leica also sued Shankar in court. In response, Shankar also filed a petition accusing Laika and the film went into a situation where no decision was reached.
While director Shankar was directing Ram Charan, Kamal was busy with Vikram. The recently released movie Vikram was a blockbuster hit. Udhayanidhi Stalin, who released Vikaram across Tamil Nadu in celebration of the success of the film, announced that Indian 2 will be released again. Talks have been held with Shankar, Laika, actor Kamal Haasan and others and the shooting of the film will begin soon.

Actor Kamal Haasan too has now gone to America for the production of the film. As the rest of the actors and actresses are contracted to other films, the film crew is said to have started the process to ensure their arrival. Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal, who recently became a mother, seems to have no chance of acting in Indian 2. Shankar, who has decided to replace her with a new actress, is going to bring someone from Bollywood. Ranveer Singh’s wife Deepika Padukone is in talks for this.
