On the night between March 4 and March 5, 1982, one of the most promising comedians in Hollywood left, John Belushiquickly entered the myth thanks to the cult characters to whom he lent the face, from Bluto in «Animal House» (1978 film directed by John Landis which can be seen again on Twentyseven Thursday 4 August at 9.10 pm) to Jake Blues in “The Blues Brothers” (1980). “Brainy, spherical comic actor, known for his imitations on Saturday Night Live, found lifeless in a bungalow in Hollywood”: so summarized in a paragraph the following day the New York Times in giving the news of the sudden disappearance – only 33 years – of the actor, who threw many friends and colleagues into despair. Who, to tell the truth, had long been worried about his health and his excessive use of drugs (that he had been using drugs since the time of the SNL was no mystery to anyone). Several times they had advised him to go to rehab, but he had always refused.
