A Haitian police operation against armed gangs leaves 9 bandits dead

The Haitian National Police reported this Friday that 9 members of armed gangs died and 13 others were wounded during the eighth day of intense interventions in neighborhoods occupied by these armed groups in Gros Morne, Artibonite department, 130 km from the capital.

“There are 9 dead bandits, at least 13 others were injured and 3 were arrested during the action that allowed the Police free 30 hostages and seize 8 motorcycles,” the institution said in a statement. “This uninterrupted operation is in its eighth day. It will continue until the bandits are completely uprooted,” continues the note from the Haitian Police.
