On the occasion of artist Karunanidhi’s memorial day, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin paid his respects by placing a wreath at his memorial in Chennai.

The 4th anniversary of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Artist Karunanidhi is being observed today. The DMK leadership had already announced that a peace rally would be held on behalf of the DMK.

It was also said that at 8.30 am today morning, they will start from the Muttamizharinagar artist statue located in Omanturar Complex, Anna Road, Chennai and pay tribute by placing a wreath at the artist’s memorial located on Kamarajar Road.

Accordingly, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin paid floral tributes to the artist’s statue in Chennai’s Omanturar Hospital complex. Following this, a peace rally was started under the leadership of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.

Ministers Duraimurugan, KN Nehru, Shekhar Babu, Members of Parliament DR Balu, Kanimozhi, Dayanidhi Maran and many DMK members participated in this rally. Likewise, thousands of DMK workers, many wearing black shirts, participated in the peace rally.

The peace rally, which started at Omanturar Hospital, ended at the Karunanidhi Memorial on Kamarajar Road Marina Beach. Later, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin paid tribute to Karunanidhi’s portrait at Marina. Subsequently, all ministers, MPs and volunteers paid their respects to the portrait of the artist.
