Sandeep Kumar walks to bronze in race walk; Lakshya Sen in finals in badminton

Birmingham: India continues medal chase at Commonwealth Games. Sandeep Kumar won bronze in the 10 km race walk. Sandeep finished in 38:49:18 minutes. The star’s medal haul came with a career-best time. Canada’s Evan Dunphy won gold in 38, 36, 37 minutes.

India’s Lakshya Sen enters men’s singles final. Lakshya defeated Singapore player Jia Heng Teh in the semi-finals.

India left the track with a double win in the triple jump. Malayali stars Endos Paul won gold and Abdullah Abu Bakar won silver.

With this, India remains at the 5th position with 47 medals. India won 16 gold, 12 silver and 19 bronze medals.
