Fuel price hiked sharply in Bangladesh According to reports, there has been a sudden 52 percent increase in fuel prices. There is massive public anger on the streets of Bangladesh following the government’s new move. People demand that fuel prices should be withdrawn.

Apart from fuel, the price of food products in the country has also skyrocketed. The increase in fuel prices is leading to further crisis in the industrial sector of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s GDP is $416 billion, but the country’s retail price inflation remains above seven percent.

The price of petrol in Bangladesh is 130 taka and the price of octane petrol is 135 taka. That is, 108 rupees and 113 rupees respectively in Indian Rupees. Meanwhile, the price of kerosene in the country has been increased by 42.5 percent.
