A bullet in the forehead after a fight in a club and the fighter Leandro Lo is gone forever. An absurd end for the Brazilian martial arts legend, lying on the ground forever at the age of 33: Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion, the BJJ, had won his eighth world title three months ago. The tragedy took place in a room in sight of San Paolo, the hometown of the wrestler. According to the first reconstructions, at the end of a concert, a visibly drunk man approached the table of the Brazilian phenomenon threatening him and his friends with a bottle. The wrestler would have pinned him to the ground to prevent the situation from escalating. Shortly after, some boys helped the attacker to get up, inviting him to calm down.
It seemed that the dispute had ended there instead at that precise moment, the man turned around, pulled out a gun and shot Leandro in the head said the lawyer of the Lo family. The sample was rushed to hospital, in vain. He was immediately pronounced brain dead.
The culprit would be a thirty-year-old off-duty policeman, Henrique Otavio Oliveira Velozo, in custody, reports the Folha de Sau Paulo. A Sao Paulo court ordered the attacker to be detained for 30 days pending further investigation.
