Essam Al-Sayegh, the husband of the deceased Mrs. Lina Taha, and her friend, Dr. Afaf Felimban, revealed, during Rescued two girls from drowningHis wife was missing for 4 hours at sea, after she was swept away by the waves.

Al-Sayegh stated toNews 24His wife and a group of women were swimming in the sea near a chalet they were staying in on a beach in Jeddah, and when they came out of the sea they saw two girls drowning.

He pointed out that his wife and Dr. Afaf returned to the sea to save the two girls and succeeded in that, but the strong waves pulled them into the middle of the sea, adding that those present were able to take out Dr. Afaf while his wife disappeared.

He added that the search for his wife continued from 3 pm until 6:50 pm, noting that his son rented a boat at his own expense to search for her with divers, until he found her a kilometer from their location.

He explained that the doctor told them after their arrival at the hospital that she had passed away an hour and a half ago, stressing that if she had been found before that, this might have contributed to her survival.

He stated that the two girls who were rescued were no more than 16 years old, indicating that they had informed the families of the two victims that they had donated to dig wells in the name of the two victims.

For his part, a relative of Dr. Afaf Felimban, Muhammad Felimban, stated that she and her colleague Lina were good at swimming, and they helped save the two girls from drowning, but the speed of the waves caused them to drown.

He added that those present succeeded in getting his aunt out, and asked for an ambulance to take her to King Abdullah Hospital, north of Jeddah, but her rescue came too late, as she passed away after arriving at the hospital.
