The Microsoft owned Outlook is another email service provider app that helps users to keep track of incoming and outgoing emails. The app also features a calendar, task manager, contact manager, web browsing, journaling, and note taking.

How does Focused Inbox work in Outlook?

As the name suggests, Focused Inbox brings all the emails together while keeping all the other emails in the Other tab, however, this tab is not frequently used by the users.

After disabling focus tab, all your emails will now be displayed under one tab (both important and unimportant emails), however, you can enable this feature again based on your requirements.

Here’s a suggestion from Microsoft, “If you don’t see the button, your version of Outlook might not have this feature. We often release new features to Insiders first, and then we release them via your Office software updates, and you can always check for updates by Select File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.

Basic requirements:

Microsoft account.

The active mobile phone number registered to the Outlook account (to receive OTP).

1. Launch the Microsoft application.

2. Log in to your email account.

3. Enter the received OTP on your registered mobile phone number.

4. Once logged in, go through the settings button.

5. Slide your finger to turn off Focused inbox.
