The US military detected Russian planes that came dangerously close to the airspace of the state of Alaska in the US on Monday. This is what the North American Air and Space Defense Command reports. The planes entered the air defense space of Alaska on two separate occasions, where they are beginning to identify factors fearing entry into the official space.

In both cases, it was one Russian spy plane. In the second incident, the Americans sent F-22s to intercept the plane.

“The Russian plane remained in international airspace, and did not enter the territory under American or Canadian sovereignty,” said the North American Air and Space Defense Command.

It seems that the tensions between Russia and the USA are only intensifying, this against the background of the war in Ukraine. The Americans approved the joining of Sweden and Finland to NATO, in a move that greatly upset the Russians, and made them feel even more threatened, when the Americans also impose heavy sanctions on them.
