Madurai: The measurement work for the fitting of prosthetic limbs for disabled persons in Madurai district was done. The government provides prosthetic limbs to the disabled persons free of cost. For this purpose, yesterday the measurement work was done for the applicants in the District Disabled Persons Welfare Office. 45 people applied.
In the presence of Ravichandran, Disabled Welfare Officer, the employees of Endolite Company, approved by the government, measured them. They said that artificial organs will be prepared and implanted within a month.
Ravichandran said, “People with disabilities can come and register with their identity card, identity card and Chief Minister’s comprehensive medical insurance plan card. There is no annual income limit. Those in need can get details on 0452-252 9695,” he said.
