There has been a huge increase in the demand for apartments. Some areas have seen rents rise by more than 30 percent as short-term demand increases. The increase was up to seven percent in the first quarter. But as owners took advantage of this, rents rose sharply in the second quarter. The Supreme Committee and corporate companies are booking a large number of villas and apartments to accommodate the fans who come to watch the World Cup matches.
