Dutch OM midfielder Kevin Strootman posted several insulting and threatening messages on Instagram on Friday from supporters who wanted him to leave the club.

A sporting and financial failure at OM
Strootman, who is 32, arrived at OM in 2018 from AS Roma. The transfer had been expensive (more than 25 million euros) and the Dutchman has a very important salary in Marseille. But several injuries dating from his stay in Rome limited his abilities and he disappointed at OM.
He has been on loan for the past two seasons, to Genoa and then to Cagliari, but his salary continues to weigh on OM’s finances as he trains away from the group led by Igor Tudor.
