President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with ICTV channel reiterated that he intends to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
“Ukraine, in turn, is interested in meeting with the Russian president in any format,” he said.
Zelensky also spoke about the chances of holding a meeting of the Normandy Four (Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France). According to him, Kiev is ready for such a meeting. “As of today, Germany, France and Ukraine – that’s for sure – are interested in a meeting in the Normandy format,” the president assured.
He noted that he expects concrete steps on this issue from Moscow. “I think that the percentage of the meeting will depend on Russia. <...> I think there are chances for this, ”the head of state added.
Zelensky also recalled that he discussed the topic of Washington’s possible joining in negotiations on resolving the conflict in Donbass with US President Joe Biden. According to him, the American side assured him that it would think about the format and then present its thoughts to Moscow and Kiev.
