Football fans who fell in love with samba dance, Mexican waves, African dance moves on the field will have a variety of colors on the streets. During the World Cup, Qatar will welcome global football lovers with traditional music, dance, handicrafts and art performances of various countries such as South America, Africa, Asia and Arab countries.

The celebrations will last from November 20, the day the World Cup kicks off, to December 18, the final day. Apart from the carnival on the green lawns of the gallery, there are a lot of festive entertainments lined up for the fans day and night. The performances will be staged at 21 venues in different parts of the country, including stadium premises and fanzones. About 6000 artists have been selected for this purpose, officials said.

As the heart of Qatar, the Doha Corniche, which stretches six kilometers long and kisses the Gulf, will become the hub of confluences. The Corniche has already been decorated and turned into a world-class street with a capacity of 1.20 lakh people at a time.

Fan zones are also set up in Al Bidda Park along the Corniche, Industrial Area and Al Khor in various parts of the country with facilities for 40,000 people to watch the game together. Details of other major fan zones will be announced soon, officials said.
