In an interview she gave in the American media, Taylor claimed that her dismissal was racially motivated and because she is a black woman. She also added that the photo she uploaded is not problematic and that it is a legitimate protest due to the former president’s extreme views.

A spokesman for the airline denied the claims, saying: “When Delta employees mix the Delta brand with behavior or content that does not reflect our values of professionalism, inclusion and respect, that behavior may result in disciplinary proceedings or termination.” And added clearly: “The circumstances described by the former employee are not an accurate or complete explanation for the decision to terminate the company,” added the spokesperson.
