Both work for Southwest Airlines of America. The mother, Holly Pettit, holds the rank of captain. Daughter Keeley Pettit works as a First Class Officer. Both are flying from Denver, Colorado, USA to St. Louis.

The flight distance between the two cities is about 2 hours. With this, they have become the first mother-daughter team to pilot a plane in the United States. The photos and video of the two flying the plane have gone viral on social media. “This is an exciting day for us and for Southwest Airlines.

A very special day too. We are proud to be the first mother-daughter team to fly South Airlines. My dream has come true. I love this profession.
