Beyond the announcement of its new foldable phone, Mix Fold 2, Xiaomi was busy over the weekend also introducing a new tablet and new wireless headphones.

The Pad 5 Pro is rather an enlarged version of the Pad 5 that the company launched quite a while ago, including on a global level. It offers a 12.5-inch screen and thus it joins the line of huge tablets launched during the year. It offers a 2.5K resolution at a 12-Hz refresh rate, with 500 nit brightness and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It offers a slim construction that combines glass and metal with completely flat sides.

The selected processor is a Snapdragon 870 and next to it there is an option for 6/8/12 gigabytes of LPDDR5 type working memory along with 128/256/512 gigabytes of built-in UFS 3.1 storage memory, in accordance with the amount of working memory. Surprisingly, the tablet is equipped at the back with a main camera with a large sensor of 50 megapixels, next to which is a 2 megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera is 20 megapixels.

The operating system is Android 12 on top of which is the MIUI 13 game in a tablet-optimized version. There are stereophonic speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and there is a 10,000 mAh battery that supports charging at a maximum power of 67 watts – which means about 70 minutes for a full charge.

The prices of Pad 5 Pro, which will be sold in black, silver and green turtles, will range from about 445 to about 620 dollars.

And as mentioned there are also new headphones and they are also a Pro version. These are Buds 4 Pro that support Bluetooth 5.3, LHDC 4.0 and of course the older connection standards AAC and SBC. They are equipped with 11 mm magnetic and dynamic drivers, claim Hi-Fi quality and also offer an active noise-silencing mechanism that can almost completely eliminate noises with an intensity of 48dB.

They weigh 5 grams each and the charging case adds 40 grams. Without ANC, it can add 29 hours of work to the 9 hours of the headphones themselves, and there is support for wireless charging. The tiny knobs respond to pressure and can allow you to switch between the mute modes, control the music or answer incoming calls.

Each of the headphones has three microphones with a sensor that detects the movement of the cheek bone to provide better sound quality. The price is about 150 dollars.
