Salem: BJP state vice-president KP Ramalingam, who was arrested by the police in connection with breaking the lock of the entrance of Bharat Mata temple in Papparapatti, Dharmapuri district, has been admitted to the Salem Government Hospital for treatment due to blood pressure.

KP Ramalingam was admitted to Bennagaram Government Hospital due to high blood pressure. Later, KP Ramalingam, who was admitted to Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital, was admitted to Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital for further treatment.

Following this, heavy police security has been deployed at the government hospital. On hearing this information, BJP workers came in large numbers to the government hospital and tried to meet him.

When the police on security duty tried to stop those who came to meet KP Ramalingam, a scuffle broke out between the BJP workers and the police. Later, the police sent the volunteers away from the hospital.
