Some people are being cheated by paying money on the mentioned mobile number. The electricity board has already advised not to believe fake information.

In this environment, it seems that some out-of-towners resort to cheating by paying electricity bills on fake mobile numbers due to the fear of disconnection of power supply. Hence, ‘Avoid fake text messages asking for their bank details or contacting any mobile number saying that electricity will be cut off because they have not paid their electricity bills.

The Electricity Board has once again advised the public to ‘Contact the Electricity Center at 94987 94987’.
