“I will attack the state. We will present an appeal at the end of August, beginning of September, ”announced on the set of BFMTV the lawyer for the mother of the girl knocked down by a motorcycle during an urban rodeo in Pontoise (Val-d ‘Oise) on August 5th.

“There are individual responsibilities that are indisputable. But there is also a collective responsibility because there is a State which refuses to enforce the law and which does not want to put a lasting and lasting end to this phenomenon,” added Raphaël Cabral. The lawyer considered that “the best proof of this inaction” was “the fact that this scourge returned a few days after this tragedy”, referring to the new urban rodeo on Sunday in Colmar, which led to an altercation leading to the death of a nobody.

The lawyer, who intends to attack the State for “inaction”, took the example of a similar procedure in Marseilles, during which the applicant had won the case and “the condemnation of the State to the tune of 10,000 euros”, according to him. Even if the procedure in question had taken nine years to succeed, the rodeos would have ceased today in his district, according to the lawyer.

A 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy were hospitalized on August 5 after being hit by a motorcycle in the middle of an urban rodeo while they were playing below their home in the Hauts de Marcouville district of Pontoise. The condition of the boy, who suffered from an open fracture at the level of the tibia and the fibula, quickly stabilized the next day unlike that of the girl, suffering from a very serious cranial trauma. Transported to the Necker hospital (Paris XVe), in absolute emergency, she did not come out of the coma until Monday. Her condition seemed to improve but she remained hospitalized.

His mother testified for the 24/7 news channel, saying street rodeos were common in her neighborhood. “It’s up to the police to do the job because if it continues like this, there will be other victims,” she said in particular. According to his lawyer, the ballet of scooters and motorcycles had also resumed barely a week after the accident.
