A bus driver reported a passenger with stab marks on his body – the police arrested a suspect in the act

The police arrested a Haifa resident this evening (Tuesday) on suspicion of stabbing a city resident and injuring him moderately. The woman was arrested following a report by a bus driver who noticed a stab mark on the body of one of the passengers.

The passenger, a 53-year-old resident of Haifa, was taken to Rambam Medical Center in the city in moderate condition.

At the end of a preliminary investigation, a suspect, a 60-year-old resident of the city, was arrested on suspicion of committing the act. The knife with which the stabbing was apparently carried out was caught in her possession.

Tomorrow the police will ask to extend the suspect’s detention at the Haifa Magistrate’s Court.
