Despite strong opposition from India, a Chinese spy ship has arrived in Sri Lanka. The ship is docked at Ammanthota port in Sri Lanka. The ship is said to be docked there for a week. Close to Sri Lanka, there are important places along the coast of Tamil Nadu including Kudankulam Anumin Station and Rameswaram Island. It is said that the Chinese spy ship stationed in Sri Lanka can accurately monitor up to 150 km. In order to prevent this, Indian Navy ships and helicopters equipped with the most modern technology and Hovercraft ships of the Coast Guard have been engaged in intensive surveillance work in the Pak Strait and Gulf of Mannar areas in Rameswaram.
