Stephanraj and Chaubhagya are a couple from Sri Wari Nagar, Avadi Veerapuram, Tiruvallur District. They got married in 2012 and have two children, a daughter and a son. Their eldest daughter Tania is 9 years old. Tania is studying 4th standard in Veerapuram Government School. Like all children, Tania grew normally until the age of 3. Then baby Dania’s life is completely turned upside down by a cane spot that appears on her face.
Tania has a black spot on her face. His parents initially thought it was a normal blood clot and since 2017, he has been receiving continuous treatment at more than 6 hospitals including Children’s Hospital in Egmore. However, the effect is not less. As a result, Tania’s parents, Stephen Raj Chaubhagya, took loans beyond their means and spent money on medical treatment to no avail.
As days went by, Tania’s face began to disintegrate on one side of her right eye, jaw and lip. Due to this, the beautiful face of the child was greatly affected. The teachers, who are supposed to be giving advice and love to their fellow students, have gone a step further and isolated Tania by hating her because of her shortcomings.
Speaking to News 18 Tamil Nadu about this, Tania’s mother Choubakia said, like all children, my child was normal. When she saw a black spot that appeared little more than three years old and went for treatment to the children’s health hospital, a doctor there who claimed to be the dean suggested that my student was working as a dermatologist in Karur.

After this, he took the child to the doctor in Karur and was receiving treatment for about a year and applied the ointment recommended by Dr. Krithika on the child’s face for more than 4 months. As a result of which the facial tissues were shriveled and charred, the parents avoided using the oil and went to various private hospitals for treatment, but there was no improvement.

This change in Tania’s face has completely affected her schooling. The child expressed her anguish to us that she hates going to school, which brought tears to her eyes.
“Students refuse to sit with her in school, they don’t even come to eat, play and play,” said Tania, feeling sad that she is lonely at school and because of this, she hates going to school. He has made a public allegation that he was not allowed to participate in the dance competition on Independence Day and was humiliated in front of everyone citing his vulnerability. Due to this, he expressed his anguish that he does not want to study in school and wants to go to school only after his face is completely healed.
While the news about the condition of the girl was reported on News18 TV, now on the orders of Thiruvallur District Collector Alby John Varghese IAS, revenue officials and a team of doctors have come in person to collect the details of the child and are taking steps for immediate medical treatment.
