Nairobi: With William Ruto’s victory as Kenya’s president, the country has been rife with violence.

William won last week’s presidential general election in Kenya with 50.49% of the vote. Former Prime Minister and senior political figure Raila Odinga narrowly lost with 48.85% of the vote.

In this situation, Raila Odinga alleged that the election was rigged. He also said that this election result cannot be accepted. In this context, William’s opponents turned violent in protest against his victory. This led to clashes between police and protesters in Nairobi. However, the police said that the violence would be brought under control.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Kenya has officially announced that William Ruto has been elected as the President of Kenya. Following this, William Ruto will take over as President.
