India’s Deepak Hooda has a chance to equal the world record in the first ODI against Zimbabwe.

Team India will tour Zimbabwe for a 3-match ODI series. The ODI series will begin on August 18 and conclude on August 22. Zimbabwe recently won the T20I series against Bangladesh by 2-1 and the ODI series by 2-1.

KL Deepak Hooda is included in the Indian team led by Rahul. Hooda has been playing for the Indian team since last February. He recently scored a century in a T20I match. So far he has played 5 ODIs and 9 T20Is. Indian team has won all these 14 matches.

Hooda is currently the 2nd most successful batsman since debuting in international cricket. If he plays in tomorrow’s match against Zimbabwe and India get a clean sheet in that match, he will equal the world record. Romania’s Chadwick has made a maximum of 15 appearances and has seen a winning streak. Hooda will set a new world record if he plays in the 2nd match as well and takes part in the win. Hooda is expected to play in all 3 matches of the Zimbabwe ODI series.
