An increase of about 4% in the handling fees of containers in the ports of the Emirates

company DP World Dubai announced the entry into force of the updated handling fees at its ports in the United Arab Emirates as of September 15, 2022. The new fees include Jebel Ali Port and other ports of the company in Dubai, where the handling rate was increased by 4.2%.

The company explained that the rate will apply to handling operations (delivery and receipt) and will be 440 dirhams (about $120) per packed container of 20 feet or less, compared to 422 dirhams (about $115) previously, while the price for containers of more than 20 A foot will cost 698 dirhams (about 190 dollars), compared to 670 dirhams (182.5 dollars) before the entry into force of the new rate. A rate of 260 dirhams (about $71) will be imposed on empty containers under 20 feet in size and 355 dirhams ($98) for empty containers over 20 feet in size.

The updated fees do not include value added tax and other taxes, commissions, levies, government fees and other taxes imposed on each shipment.
