Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and thanked him for the development of relations between the two countries in recent times following the dialogue between Prime Minister Lapid and Turkish President Erdogan and the exchange of visits between the two foreign ministers. The Prime Minister and the President congratulated each other on the decision to return to full diplomatic representation and to reinstate the ambassadors and consuls general to Israel and Turkey.
The Prime Minister and the President agreed that the latest development is an important and additional layer in the strengthening of relations that will also lead to many achievements, with an emphasis on the fields of economy and tourism, as will be reflected in the renewal of Israeli flights to Turkey and the gathering of the economic committee involved in Israel during the month of September.
