Suicides on the rise in Japan due to the Corona disaster

Tokyo: Among the various things affected by the Corona disaster, human life has also changed. In Japan, a study has revealed that suicides have increased during the Corona disaster.

In other words, more than 8000 people have committed suicide in Japan from March 2020 to June 2022 alone.

The researchers said that compared to the past suicides, this situation is a sharp increase. It is said that 8,088 people have committed suicide during this calamity alone, most of whom are women in their 20s.

Statistics show that the number of women has increased drastically, and that women who are younger than that are also committing suicide more.

1,837 people in their 20s committed suicide. 1,092 of them were women. 282 people aged 19 years and 377 people younger than that age committed suicide.
