Saturday morning, a beautiful day, the Super League of the Yearbook Boys A starts with the participation of 16 teams, who will play in a format of two league rounds, at the end of which a champion will be crowned, the relegators will be determined and will also be the one who will try to survive through the test matches. Most of the games of the season will be held in the afternoon, but two games will be held in the morning: at 09:00 Hapoel Ra’anana will host the champion of the year – Maccabi Tel Aviv, at 09:30 Hapoel Tel Aviv will host Beitar Jerusalem.
14 of the 16 teams in the league played last season in the 2nd yearbook’s Super League, which was completely controlled by Maccabi Pat – which won the championship title with a 14-point lead over Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Netanya and 19 points over Maccabi Haifa. This is after the previous season, Maccabi PAT won the double of Shanton Naarim C. Also this season, Maccabi PAT is expected to be a team that will set the tone in the league, although Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Netanya and Maccabi Haifa, who strengthened the ranks, are expected to give a stronger fight And our prediction is that one or more of the teams will see a close fight with Maccabi Pat for the championship.
Hapoel Ra’anana and Hapoel Tel Aviv are expected to remain in the upper part of the center of the table. It seems that we can expect the Haifa worker to be more excellent than a new one that just wants to survive and we won’t be surprised if we see it in the middle of the table and even at the top of the table. Hapoel Jerusalem (pictured) will hope to repeat the success of the 2005 team – which also came as a newcomer, but was very impressive and throughout the entire season was in the center of the table and was actually the “black horse” of the league. However, as a new team in the Premier League format, it is not impossible that they will find themselves in the lower part of the table and in the struggles of the bottom.
Three teams, which were actually among those relegated to the national league, will be part of the league: Beitar Jerusalem, Bnei Sakhnin and Hapoel RG-Givataim. Of the three, Hapoel RG-Givataiyim is the only one that, at least on paper, has made significant improvements, which will most likely be reflected in the table and in the optimistic scenario this is a team that can also be in the center of the table. Beitar Jerusalem comes after a very difficult summer for the club and after the stain of relegation, we will see that it will fight for its place in the league this season as well, so will Bnei Sakhnin and Beitar Tobruk – which has undergone a revolution in Sgala and absorbed many new players, who did not play in the Premier League last season. It is not impossible that from among these teams we will also see teams that will find their way in the center of the table in the long run.
