Roller Skating Championship for India with Malayalee strength

Thiruvananthapuram: In the international roller skating netball competition held in Malaysia, India won gold thanks to Malayalee strength. India became the overall champions in the competition. The boys finished first in both the junior and sub-junior categories. The senior boys won the silver medal. A total of 55 athletes competed in various age groups. 38 of them were Malayalis.

India won the overall title in the 1st International Roller Netted Ball Championship held in Kuala Lumpur from August 11 to 15.

1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in various events are as follows:
Mini Boys : India, Malaysia, Singapore
Mini Girls: India, Malaysia
Sub-Junior Boys: India, Malaysia
Senior Boys: India, Malaysia, Singapore
Senior Girls: Malaysia, India

At the closing ceremony, Secretary Rosmawati Bindi Abd Rahman, Secretary of Malaysian Roller Netted Ball Federation, gave prizes to the winners, International Roller Netted Ball General Secretary, Sivarajan K, General Secretary of Roller Netted Ball Federation of India, Santhosh K, Official. Nair, Alexander KP (Technical Committee Chairman), Sarath MK, Raj Kapoor, Ashwin S Kumar, Biju K Nair and Vidya Biju accompanied the team.
