The space transportation company, Rocket Lab, announced that it is preparing for a new mission to search for life in space.
In this context, the company announced its intention to launch a spacecraft, with the aim of researching the atmosphere of Venus in 2023.
The study is set to look for evidence of life or habitability in Venus’s atmosphere.
The electronic spacecraft and the Photon probe will be launched into the atmosphere of Venus in order to perform the mission.
The 20-kilogram probe will also remain in the atmosphere of Venus for 5 minutes, and the mission is scheduled to begin in 2023.
Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology aim to investigate the presence of organic molecules in cloud-layered particles.
The mission, hailed as the first opportunity in 40 years to directly explore the atmosphere of Venus, is expected to lead to groundbreaking scientific work.
