Two Africans fell to their deaths from a 10th-floor balcony in an apartment complex while trying to escape arrest, Sharjah police said. The incident happened when the police were conducting a search after receiving information that illegal activities were taking place in the building.
It fell from a building in Al Nahda area of Sharjah. Many people, including those living in the vicinity, gathered at the incident site. The police officers reached here and found that both people were seriously injured. They were first taken to the Kuwait Hospital and later to the forensic laboratory.
The police conducted the search following a tip-off that the apartment in Al Nahda was occupied by many illegal residents and the premises were being used for illegal activities.
