Mercato: Dina Ebimbe’s medical visit to Frankfurt reveals an anomaly

by time news

Negotiations between PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt have been going on for a while now regarding the transfer of Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, the young Parisian midfielder, 21 years old. They seemed to end favorably and now a new setback occurs, likely to slow down, if not to compromise the operation.

The German daily Bild indeed reports this Saturday that the medical examination prior to the signing of the contract revealed in the young player an anomaly behind the left knee.

Still according to Bild, however, the transfer is not called into question, the doctors concerned having issued divergent opinions on the content and degree of the injury detected.

In addition, the German daily specifies that Dina Ebimbe will probably be the subject of a one-year loan with a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season, against 6.5 M€ in favor of the club of the capital. That is more than the €6m initially hoped for by PSG for a dry transfer.

The departure of Dina Ebimbe is part of the degreasing operation of the Parisian workforce, which got rid of Thilo Kehrer this week, transferred to West Ham (England). In midfield, PSG also wants the departure of Idrissa Gueye and Ander Herrera, while recruiting Vitinha (FC Porto) in the offseason.

Last season, Dina Ebimbe took part in 14 matches in all competitions. Previously, he had been loaned out to Le Havre and Dijon.
