UAE: General Eric Curry, the Middle East Commander of the US Army, said that the US-UAE military cooperation will be strengthened in the Middle East region. UAE Army Chief of Staff Lt. General Eric discussed the possibilities of increasing military cooperation with General Hamad Muhammad Thani Al Rumaiti. Commander General Eric Carrilla stated that drone attacks are a matter of concern for both the UAE and the United States, and that both countries are committed to maintaining peace in the region in the event of changes in the methods of attacks as technology grows.

This cooperation will remain strong on land, sea and air. The visit to the UAE by the military commander of the Middle East region came after a rocket attack on a US military base in eastern Syria on Monday.

Earlier, there were drone attacks in the southern region of Syria, which shares borders with Iraq and Jordan. In January, a drone attack by the Houthis also caused casualties in the UAE. There have been previous Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. It was decided to strengthen the military cooperation by evaluating these situations.

The military chief said that Iran is waging a shadow war to create instability in the region. The US military chief also raised Iran’s role in providing weapons to the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The army chief also said that the weapons used in the rocket attack in Syria the other day were manufactured by Iran. The US military chief added that while the US has reduced the number of troops in the Middle East, it has not reduced its military responsibility.

Eric Carrilla also stated that the cooperation between the two countries is not based on the number of soldiers, warships or weapons, but on precise training, information exchange and joint military operations.
