An RTI document has come out which proves that Joseph Skaria, the second ranker in the highly controversial Kannur University Associate Professor rank list, does not have UGC NET. Among those who applied for the post of Associate Professor, Joseph Skaria did not have the NET qualification. The RTI document shows that Priya Varghese secured 70 per cent marks and Joseph Skaria secured 52 per cent marks in the graduation examination. The RTI document also proves that Joseph Skaria got 55 percent marks in the PG exam. Since 1991, UGC has started considering NET as a basic qualification for college teaching. Joseph Scaria BG qualified in 1992.
