The CNN network was quick to announce at the end of the week Because in the nuclear agreement that is taking shape, Iran has given up its demand to remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of organizations that support terrorism. However, the network did not state that in the agreement that is being formed, foreign companies that maintain ties and do business with the Revolutionary Guards will no longer be subject to sanctions.
Since the Revolutionary Guards control most branches of the Iranian economy, this means that the new agreement will allow the Revolutionary Guards to maintain contact with foreign companies.
Other concessions President Joe Biden’s administration has agreed to make to Iran:
1. Iran will be able to continue nuclear research and development in the next ten years – that is, until 2032.
2. The high-speed Iranian centrifuges that Iran has agreed to stop operating will not be displaced from their base and their electrical system will remain in place so that they can be restarted in a short time.
3. On the day the agreement is signed, President Joe Biden will cancel the orders signed during the time of President Donald Trump regarding the withdrawal of the United States from the nuclear agreement.
4. The agreement will include 21 American guarantees according to which Washington will not be able to leave the nuclear agreement again.
5. The agreement allows Iran a period of 60 days from its signing in which Tehran can check whether the sanctions on the sale of oil have indeed been lifted and that the bank accounts where Iranian money is held in Western countries and South Korea and which are now blocked have indeed been released.
6. Even if the United States once again decides to withdraw from the nuclear agreement, Washington now undertakes that there will be a transition period of three years and one month before it can impose new sanctions on Iran.
