In Karur Government Arts College, 550 people have been admitted through the first round of counseling out of 680 seats in the first year.
Karur Government Arts College held a consultation for first year students from 8th to 18th. Among them, 59 out of 75 places in the mathematics course; 71 out of 75 seats in Physics; 74 out of 75 seats in Chemistry; Out of 80 seats in Botany, 68 seats were filled.
Similarly, 70 out of 80 seats in Zoology; 90 out of 100 seats in Computer Science; 23 out of 40 seats in the Department of Soil Science; Out of 40 seats in Statistics course, 13 seats were filled.
Also, 47 seats out of 75 seats in Geography course and 35 seats out of 40 seats in Nutrition and Food Systems course were filled. 9,782 applications were received for 680 first-year seats in the college. Out of which, 550 seats have been filled in the first round of consultation. The remaining 130 seats will be filled during the second round of counseling, Karur Government Arts College administration said.
