Most countries in the world still have laws that criminalize homosexuality. But in recent years, as scientific and medical understanding of homosexuality has grown, many countries have legalized homosexuality. In Asia, countries including India and China have legal recognition of homosexuality.

In this situation, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has said that he is going to repeal Article 337A, which criminalises homosexuality. He said that an amendment will be brought in the country’s constitution in this regard.
