Rotora slums will be removed by Chief Minister’s visit! Destitute people who are homeless

by time news
Pollachi: Due to Chief Minister’s visit to Pollachi, the huts of the residents of Rotoram were suddenly removed yesterday, leaving them at a loss as to where to go. More than 30 families who work as day laborers have set up temporary residences near Achipatti on the Pollachi-Coimbatore Road. They were moving the family. In this case, it is said that the government officials insisted that the Rotora huts should be vacated immediately. Due to this, the residents themselves removed the huts. But as there was no alternative place, they did not know where to go. The public said: We lived in Rotoram by setting up temporary residences. We move our lives depending on the daily income we get. We have been living in Rotoram hut for many years as we were told to remove the residences on private land. In this situation, the authorities have been insisting from time to time to vacate this place for the past few weeks. If they are asked to evacuate suddenly, they do not know where to go with their families. Children are studying in schools. In this context, suddenly being asked to vacate the cottage is painful. Requests for alternative accommodation are of no avail. Thus, they said.

Is this the reason?

A public meeting will be held in Pollachi tomorrow in which Chief Minister Stalin will participate. The authorities have insisted on the immediate removal of these huts near the convention pavilion. It seems that vehicles are facilitating access to the convention through the residential area. As a result, the huts have been removed hastily. Criticisms have arisen that the “Dawn” government is a government for the people and that it is evicting the residents of Rotorua who have been homeless for many years.
