Wall Street closed this Monday with clear losses and the Dow Jones Industrials, its main indicator, retreated 1.91%, its worst day since mid-June, with investors worried about the possibility that the Federal Reserve ( Fed) to continue with its aggressive policy of raising interest rates and the effect this may have on the economy.
According to provisional data at the close of operations on the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones lost 642.80 points, up to 33,063.94 wholes, while the selective S&P 500 retreated by 2.14% or 90.49 units, up to 4,137.99 points.
The composite index of the Nasdaq market, where the main technology companies are traded, fell by 2.55% or 323.64 points, up to 12,381.57 units.
